Meet the craftsmen
Resin River Studio was founded by Collin Lundy and Aaron Wasleske, two craftsmen who bring over 30 years of combined woodworking and design experience to every project. They take a hands-on approach from the first sketch to the final coat of finish, so every piece is built with real artistic integrity.
Their studio is based in Blaine, in Minnesota's Twin Cities Metro, and their work ranges from elegant dining tables to custom stairwells, accent walls and wall art.
What we create
Our specialty. Glassy, colorful epoxy resin poured between unique slabs of finely polished wood, creating a flowing "river" with vibrant color and movement. Typically built in 3–4 weeks.
Prefer a more traditional look? We handcraft statement pieces and everyday furniture and fixtures, combining time-honored techniques with modern style. Typically built in 1–4 weeks.
Turn a tree you love, from a childhood home or a beloved fallen tree, into a family heirloom. We work with arborists, then mill, dry and craft your wood. Add a custom inlay of names, handprints or a message.

FAQs
Yes. Your consultation is a free, no-obligation conversation with our craftsmen. We'll ask what kind of piece you have in mind, where it will live, how you plan to use it, and what look you're going for. Photos of your space or pieces you love are always helpful.
From there we'll talk through wood species, resin colors, finish and size, and explain what it would take to bring your idea to life. There's no pressure to commit.
A resin river (often called a river table) is made by pouring liquid epoxy resin between pieces of live edge wood. The resin fills the gap and hardens into a glassy, flowing "river" that runs through the wood.
The contrast between colorful, glossy resin and the raw natural beauty of the wood creates a true piece of art that complements most décor styles. The creative possibilities are wide open: dining tables, coffee tables, desks, countertops, bar tops, wall art and more.
Every piece is custom, so the price depends on several factors: the type and size of the piece, the wood species you choose, how much resin it needs, the style of resin (solid, translucent, swirl or clear), the finish, any custom inlays, and the base or legs.
Once we understand your vision during the free consultation, we'll give you pricing based on your preferences. You can also call us at 763-898-8785 for an estimate on your project.
It depends on the type, size and scope of your piece, and we never rush quality. On average, custom woodwork takes 1–4 weeks to build and resin river pieces take 3–4 weeks.
Tree-to-Table pieces take longer, up to 5 months or more, because your wood has to be milled and carefully dried (usually about 5 months) before construction can start. We'll give you a timeline for your specific piece before you commit.
Absolutely. We offer a wide range of wood species and resin colors, and you'll pick your favorites during the consultation. Resin can be solid (opaque), colored translucent, mica or swirl, or crystal clear. You can also choose your finish sheen, from matte and satin to semigloss and high gloss.
Beyond that, you can personalize your piece with an inlaid message, handprint, company logo or signature, or a custom fabricated metal base.
Tree-to-Table turns a tree with sentimental value, like one from a childhood home or a beloved tree that came down in a storm, into a functional family heirloom. If the tree is still standing, we work with expert arborists to take it down.
We then mill your wood and carefully dry it, which typically takes about 5 months, before crafting your piece. You can add a resin river or a custom inlay, such as your children's names, handprints or a handwritten message, to capture the memories made beneath that tree. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready for pickup or delivery.
Yes. Every Resin River Studio piece is designed to last. We offer a variety of finishes, from more natural looks to nearly indestructible, depending on your preference and how you'll use the piece. A family dining table and a decorative wall piece have very different needs, and we'll recommend the right finish for yours.
Each resin river piece also comes with a warranty covering craftsmanship defects, and in most cases damaged pieces can be repaired. Just contact us for an assessment.
Resin river pieces need very little maintenance. Simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, and keep the surface away from extreme heat to protect the finish. We'll go over any care details specific to your finish when your piece is delivered.
Yes. Local delivery and setup in the Twin Cities Metro is always included in your project cost. We also ship across the continental United States.
For international shipping, contact us directly to discuss options and pricing.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We use locally sourced, sustainably harvested wood and bio-based epoxy resins, and our finished products are free from harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to protect your health and the environment.
Tree-to-Table projects take that even further by giving meaningful wood a second life instead of letting it go to waste.
